Separation anxiety is the fear or panic of being alone.

Common Symptoms of Separation Anxiety:

  • Urinating when left alone (If a dog urinates in the presence of his owner, his house soiling probably isn’t caused by separation anxiety)
  • Destructive behavior
  • Barking
  • Howling
  • Chewing
  • Digging
  • Trying to escape
  • Scratching
  • Licking at their own self
  • Pacing
